Are you searching for an afternoon adventure? Please stop by our local coffee shop in Omaha, Nebraska, for a locally roasted brew and delicious treat, and then make your way to some of our favorite spots in Midtown.

What is Midtown?
As a charming cultural hub, Midtown is overflowing with the city's most noteworthy entertainment districts. You'll love this side of town, full of art, culture, and history galore. (Oh, and the best local coffee in Omaha!)

We'd love for you to check out four key areas within a short drive of Hay Jay Coffee - Benson, Dundee, Midtown Crossing, and Blackstone District.

North Saddle Creek District
Homy Inn
Champagne on Tap is only the beginning at this laid-back neighborhood bar. Snack on their famous peanuts served in a dog dish while gazing over their collection of old-school memorabilia.
Sgt. Peffer’s
By foot, car or yellow submarine, “pop” over to this Beatles-themed restaurant for classic recipes and techniquest that will never change.
Metcalfe Park
Home to a long sloping green, this small neighboring park is popular with kids, dogs and sports-enthusiast.
Saddle Creek Breakfast Club
It’s no surprise that there’s a wait list for this ever popular breakfast joint located in the North Saddle Creek District. So, while you’re dreaming about banana break french toast, come grab a coffee while you wait on your table to be ready.
PKP screen printing
From creating the initial design to selecting garments, PKP Screen Printing is here to make things simple!

Midtown Crossing
Turner Park
Located in the heart of Midtown, enjoy a warm cup of coffee and buzz over to this 7.5 expanded and revitalized green space. As a popular event space, enjoy more than 150 community events each year, including Jazz on the Green and yoga in the park.
Dewy Dog Park
Who let the dogs out? Who? Who? A newly opened "off-leash" dog park offers pups and pup parents an agility course, running water, and a splash pad in the summer months (which pairs nicely with our cold brew).
Anderson O'Brien Fine Art
Located in the Northeast corner of 33rd and Farnam, their gallery offers an expansive collection of modern and contemporary art, sculptures, fine art, and photography.
Bike & Walk
Omaha's bike trail system, known as "Paths of Discovery," offers a stroll around Turner Park and connects well to other neighborhoods. Take the family or go solo to enjoy what nature has to offer in this buzzing city.
Corky Canvas & Corky Boards
Channel your inner Picasso at this unique "paint and sip" experience. The Corky Canvas or Corky Boards encourages folk to "uncork" their creativity with painting classes and adult beverages.

Dundee
This historically known neighborhood is home to award-winning dining, distinctive shopping, and an independent film house, all within walking distance of some of Omaha's favorite parks.
Exist Green
Started by an environmental engineer to help you find sustainable swaps for every part of your body and every area of your home. Bring your empty jars to Omaha's first and only refill shop.
Memorial Park
Created for all the women and men from Douglas County who served in the Armed Forces, serves as one of Omaha's favorite outdoor recreation spots. So grab a frisbee, Salty Jane Latte, and friends for an afternoon of fun.
Roger & Chris Unboring Home Furnishings
"Be a couch potato, a really stylish one" when shopping for stunning, customizable furniture. Pop-in for vibrant colors and a collection of distinctive products for the home, including furniture, lighting, pottery.
Dundee Candle & Co.
Before attending a "pour your own" class at Dundee Candle Co, stop into the best coffee shop in Omaha for a Montana or Cafe Au Lait.
Film Streams' Dundee Theater
Serving as a popular venue for Hollywood fare in the 1920s, this two-screen theater is Omaha's longest-running cinema.
eCreamery
As seen on Shark Tank, pick flavors and add memorable messages or fun photos for the "coolest and most creative" gift!

Benson
Known as "Old Market's quirky cousin," Benson is a "bopping" entertainment district. Locals love to walk the "strip," enjoying their favorite neighborhood bars, including Burke's Pub and 1912.

The Waiting Room
Grab your tickets quickly! This sell-out music venue offers a-rockin' good time year-round. Located in the heart of Benson, enjoy music stylings from every genre.
Benson Theater
Waltz by Benson Theater for a night of live performances, film screenings, and community events. This swanky venue offers a full bar and endless entertainment.
Beercade
A fanboy's dream comes true here! Visit Beercade for a great collection of retro pinball and arcade games.
Burke's Pub
Did you even visit Omaha if you haven't had a Burke's Pub Apple Pie Shot? Pop into this spacious bar for a carefree evening.
Baked After Dark
A late-night bakery proves (time and time) again that sweets taste better after dark. Sink your teeth into the funfetti sugar cookies soon.
Found
There's no better way to spend a Sunday than pop into Hay Jay's for a coffee and spend the rest of the afternoon shopping your heart away. Start at "Found," a unique vintage market that offers custom painting, styling services, and shopping opportunities. Need the perfect gift? Check out their home decor, paint, or candles.

Blackstone District
Our local coffee shop is only 10 minutes from this "classic meets contemporary" district. Here you'll find artisan dishes, nightlife, shopping, and unique living experiences. It's one of the coolest neighborhoods in Omaha, NE (especially for history buffs).

The Cottonwood Hotel
Travelers and locals alike swoon over this hotel that takes a fresh approach to modern hospitality.
Night Owl
A Blackstone staple is offering infamous boozy shakes and must-try "Tat-chaos."
Bob & Willy's Wonderbowl
"Come roll one" at this mini-bowling alley joint: food, drinks and late-night entertainment fun for the entire family.
Joslyn Art Castle
Local coffee and history? Yes please! Visit us, then make your way to this 35-room Scottish Baronial-style mansion located near the Gold Coast Historic District. The four-story home is now an Omaha Landmark Historic Structure and on the National Register of Historic Places for national significance.
Link Gallery & Workshop
Visit this space dedicated to the exhibition and teaching of all photographic processes—a great place to create, experiment, and explore.

Osteria Segreto
Tucked into a secret spot on Farnam, Osteria Segreto is Blackstone's best-kept secret. You'll find a cozy bar and specialty craft cocktails through an alleyway and down a ramp.
We are passionate about being a friendly neighbor to our community and improving it actively. From historic Dundee to the nightlife of Benson, we encourage you to visit some of these top things to do in Omaha. Grab a coffee before the adventure or stop at our local coffee shop and tell us about it!
